Quite Sweaty -Grub- I ordered the HuoGuo broth. It was super spicy and beast. I was sweating and gulping lots of water. If your Spicy Resistance stat is less than or = Average I recommend combining it with some other broth or avoiding it entirely. The powerful broth kicked my ass several times the following day but it was worth the experience. I tried out most of the toppings and they all tasted fine when added to the HuoGuo. Nice thing is that pretty much anything goes well in it. Some toppings didn't seem super fresh but I expect and prefer quantity over quality from a buffet style meal. I tried all the meats and while I'm not a meat connoisseur they all tasted decent. Cook the meat in the HuoGuo to infuse them with a fiery kick. Dip them in sauce to create a harmonious blend flavors. -Service- Servers were good at periodically checking on you.

Solid AYCE shabu shabu spot in Alhambra. I think the floors can be cleaner, but it could just be that they are really old. At the time of my visit, it was raining outside, and they had buckets here and there to catch water dripping from the ceiling.. They get crowded for dinner. I had to wait for a table on a week night. I only had three people in my party. There is plenty of parking because the parking lot is huge! It's near Big 5 and Top Island, but it's closer to the market and behind Starbucks. Each person has an individual pot and stove. You choose the soup base. You have the option to choose two soup bases, but what is weird is they will combine the two soups together! Had I known that, I would have just gotten one. I don't prefer to drink a mixed soup, but I guess it all goes down into the same place anyway. You order the meat from the server, 3-4 plates at a time. All the veggies, sauces, rice, and other ingredients are at the self-serve bars in the back. There are two rows, so there is a large variety!

This was my second time going to Shabuya in a while, came around 12 in the afternoon and though it was busy, we were seated down quickly. I really appreciate the staff here, as in most AYCE places, the staff ignore you or check up on you less often. At Shabuya, there were always employees that were able to check up on us frequently, which is excellent service. I really liked the vast assortment of options and I felt that the lunch price of $57 plus tax with two people is reasonable and well worth the price. There is plenty of vegetables, seafood, and rice/noodles to go around, and the meat is delicious and good quality. Highly recommend this place :)

This was our first time trying this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! The servings of meat were generous and pretty thick compared to other shabu shabu places which was appreciated. There was a great selection on the food bar where you were allowed to go and choose what you wanted to add to your bowl (e.g. vegetables, noodles, tofu) and an array of prepared hot food. The only reason why I did not give 5 full stars was due to the service in the beginning. Understandably, we went there on a weekend night and had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated due to the high volume of people waiting. However, after being seated we had to wait another 10-15 minutes before a server came to take our drinks and the selection of our meat. Overall, even with the number of people who were there, the generous portions and selection of food to choose from made it worth the wait!

Quality of the meat was good. Soup broth was delicious and flavorful. A very wide range of vegetable and seafood. There were plenty of sauce to chose from at the sauce bar. All the staffs were attentive and friendly.

This is still one of our favorite AYCE hot pot place in SGV! They have a wide selection of ingredients and side dishes. The meats are good too. We like how everyone gets their own individual hot pot here, so don't have to worry about sharing germs. All of their broths are flavorful. Nice, quick service. It's always a busy place with a long queue outside. Thankfully we didn't have to wait a long time to be seated. It was so cold outside.

I ate at Shabuya on Sun, 12/17/2023 for lunch with some friends from church! We arrived around noon time and didn't have to wait much time for 8 of us to be seated. The only thing was, your whole party had to be present to be seated so we were waiting for everyone in our party to get there before we were able to sit down. Cost (as of 12/2023) - 90 minute time limit Regular: $32.99 - Dinner, Weekends, Holidays Children $18.99 (4-10 years old) Vegetarian $28.99 - Vegetables only, seafood not included Special: Lunch $25.99 M-Fri 12-3PM Children Lunch: $14.99 Vegetarian Lunch: $23.99 Experience: Pretty good experience! I ended up ordering and mixing two soup bases: original house soup base and 'huoguo' (hot pot in Mandarin). They also offer pork soup base, miso, sukiyaki, water and kelp, and tom yum soup base. The meats they have are the following: 1. Chunk Tender 2. Ribeye 3. Eye of round 4. Beef Belly 5. Chuck Eye 6. Top Blade 7. Pork Belly 8. Chicken Breast Slices 9. Lamb Leg The soup was pretty tasty, but as some reviews mention - it does get quite salty by the end of your meal since you are cooking all of your food. You can ask them to refill your soup though to dilute some of that flavor. They have a lot of food to cook for your hot pot which is out in the open and you pick up yourself..kind of like buffet style. I got shrimp, octopus, tofu, quail eggs, udon, bamboo shoots, corn, plenty of veggies, pumpkin, some fish balls, etc. They have a sauce station (that kind of gets a little dirty), fresh rice, and other ready-made foods that include tiny sesame balls with red bean inside that are delicious. I felt like we ordered tons of diff meats (it was hard to keep track of which was which), and I left so full! The food was def more than enough. Customer Service: Unfortunately, the girl who helped us was not that cheery. She seemed slightly annoyed about our questions and was kind of like a no-nonsense kind of person. We ordered a few times with her, but she didn't really smile much at all. Parking: Plenty of parking is available since it is located in the plaza with Sees Candy, Planet Fitness, Starbucks, Onos, etc. Sometimes the lot can get crowded, but you can still find a spot somewhere! Overall, I enjoyed my time and food at the restaurant and will consider coming back in the future!
